We are very pleased to welcome Manifest Arts to Platform Four, our first non-profit tenants!
Manifest Arts is a grassroots festival directed by John Lynch, Roger Bygott and Elisa Artesero that shines a light on the creative talent working in both Manchester and Salford.
"Manifest Arts showcases the talent of North West based contemporary artists in a series of exhibitions, a festival and creative projects across Manchester, Salford and Bolton.
Following on from a successful 2015 pilot festival, our expanded 2017 festival runs from 5-9th July." says Elisa,
"Designed to take advantage of the increased creative and media spotlight on the city as a result of the Manchester International Festival, we want to give visitors a flavour of some of the creative activity taking place across the region all year round."
"We are developing a programme of exhibitions and events at some of Greater Manchester’s prestigious institutions, such as Manchester Craft and Design Centre, The Portico Library, Castlefield Gallery, HOME, NEO:Gallery, and The Horsfall Space. We are also coordinating many of the active artists’ studios to have open days to give a closer look at the scope of art being created in our region.
From large mills and industrial spaces to more intimate buildings, each studio has its own character and creative output. We are organising the open studios by area and day, in order to make it easier to navigate between them over the weekend."
